A little bit about us

We believe that Jesus’ death and resurrection shows God’s love and power and his willingness to forgive. We pray that the Holy Spirit will help us to share this good news with others and to grow as followers of Jesus.

We hope that our Church will...

HELP the Bible come alive for you and challenge you to take it seriously. We can suggest a number of resources that can help with reading the Bible on your own. Joining a Home Group and studying the Bible with others can also be a great encouragement.

INSPIRE you to praise God not only in church but also at home. Many people find that listening to Christian songs and hymns at home can encourage them and there are CDs we can recommend.

ENRICH your prayer life. We hope the prayers we use in the service will stimulate your own personal prayer life. Joining with others to pray at our monthly prayer meeting and/or at a Home Group is a real help to many.

ENCOURAGE you to live 24/7 as an ambassador for Christ amongst the people you regularly see. We hope that testimonies from others in the church will help. The support of a Home Group can also make a great difference in fulfilling the call to live for Christ.

ENABLE you to feel part of our church family. People vary in how much they can commit but we hope that by providing a variety of events relationships can grow. By providing lots of ways for people to be involved we hope to encourage you to feel that you belong. We are looking for partners in the mission Jesus has called us to.

Join us at any of our Services.

Holmer Parish church stands on the A49 (North) leaving Hereford. It has been part of the local community for over 800 years. Although it is a beautiful, grade 1 listed, medieval building, it has level access, wheelchair space, a 'loop' system, baby changing facilities & toilets for the disabled. Services are projected on a screen and we also have large print Service booklets and Mission Praise hymnbooks. 11am Services are modern (Common Worship) and attract people of all ages. Children and Young people meet in their CYPECS groups after a short time in Church.

After worship we meet at coffee time in the Church Centre which is used during the week by the Church and local community. Our weekday activities include:

Newcomers and visitors alike will find a warm welcome as we seek to serve Jesus Christ here. Meet the Team.
